5 Tips for Strengthening Your Immune System
Your body works hard to keep you healthy. Here are some tips you can do to help strengthen your immunity naturally.
1. Begin your day with a warm/hot cup of water with fresh lemon (you can add a tsp of raw local honey)
2. Move your body every day for at least 20 minutes – step out of the belief that it must be a structured exercise such as weight lifting or running. Cleaning your house and shoveling your driveway count as moving too!
3. Eat a plant BASED diet (this does not mean that you must cut out meat, it is just not the star of your plate)
4. Socialize! Yes, socially distance yourself, however, there are other ways to socialize other than in person. Have a Zoom party, Facetime with your friends & family, pick up pen and paper and write an old-fashioned letter; the act of writing to a loved one raises the serotonin and dopamine in your brain (all those feel good chemicals). And think of how excited they will be to get something in the mail other than bills!
5. Get to bed by 10:00 including most weekend nights. Even one late weekend night can throw off your sleep schedule
